How to spice up your baths to feel spa-tacular!
If you’re anything like me, you love going to the spa. But now that we’re in lock down we can’t go as often as we’d like. I have the perfect solution – turn your bathtub into a spa! Here are some simple things you can add to your bath to make it feel extra special. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing evening or want to get rid of some aches and pains, these tips will have you feeling like a brand new person in no time. So go ahead and light some candles, pour yourself a glass of wine, and enjoy!
Add a few drops of lavender oil to your bathtub for relaxation
Nothing says relaxation quite like a long hot bath with some peaceful scents wafting through the air. A few drops of lavender oil can be the perfect addition to set the mood for your much-needed TLC session. Not only does lavender smell incredibly soothing and calming, but it’s also scientifically proven to reduce stress and make you feel relaxed! Lavender oil is super gentle so you can use it safely; just drip a few drops into whatever type of bath you’re running (whether it’s a bubble bath or just a regular hot soak) and let its heartfelt aroma fill your bathroom. Now, if that doesn’t make you feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the world again I don’t know what will!
Use a sugar scrub on your skin to exfoliate and leave it feeling soft
Having soft, glowing skin is a must for feeling confident and gorgeous – but it’s not always easy to achieve! Thankfully, an easy and fun way to reap the benefits of glowing skin is by using a sugar scrub on your skin, which helps to exfoliate away any dead skin cells and leave you feeling silky smooth. All you need to do is pick up a sugar scrub (bonus points if it also contains essential oils!) and once or twice a week work it in circular motions over any areas of dryness – let the scrub go to work with that lovely sweet scent filling your bathroom – before rinsing off with warm water and patting your skin dry. In only minutes you can enjoy softer skin that you’ll thank yourself for attending too!
Put on a face mask to pamper yourself while you soak in the tub
Taking time to pamper yourself is essential for slowing down and unwinding. That’s why there is nothing more enjoyable than soaking in a bath while donning a face mask. There are endless fun possibilities when it comes to masks, from brightening and hydrating to exfoliating and purifying – you can pick the one that fits your mood best! Whether you want to take a calming break or liven up your night, putting on a face mask will transcend you into spa-like relaxation. Turn on some relaxing music, light up some candles, and indulge in the luxurious self-care ritual of your dreams.
Light some candles around the bathroom for a calming atmosphere
When I want to add an extra special feeling to my bathroom, I love to light some candles! A few flickers of glow and the air becomes saturated with the scent of citrus or jasmine – it’s like a special sanctuary for me! Having candles in the bathroom helps take me away from all of my worries and relaxes me. Plus, it’s such a fun way to make your own spa-like experience at home. Candlelight is definitely one of my secret tricks for getting myself into a good mood – it never fails!
Play some soothing music to complete the spa-like experience
Nothing says relaxation quite like light music playing in the background. Listening to your favorite tunes can turn any ordinary activity into a full-blown spa experience! Whether it be your favorite slow-paced love song, or an instrumental and jazz mix you enjoy to unwind, play some soothing music as you pamper yourself with a relaxing bubble bath and a home facial. Even better – light some candles for extra ambience, cue up that playlist and get ready for a mini-spa day at home!

Give yourself the gift of relaxation with this easy at-home spa day. All you need is some lavender oil, a sugar scrub, a face mask, candles, and soothing music. Your skin will feel soft and silky after using the sugar scrub, and the lavender oil will help you relax in the tub. Light some candles and put on a face mask to complete the pampering experience. Play some peaceful music to ensure that you feel like you’re truly at a spa. You deserve it!
